Getting on Alabama’s list
No application yet. Executive Order 742 names the Department of Revenue to administer the federal credit. Its Education Freedom Tax Credit page lists what an Alabama SGO must be, including a 501(c)(3) that serves 10 or more students who don't all attend the same school, spends at least 90% of its income on scholarships, funds only Alabama students, and is certified by the Department. No application, fee, or deadline has been posted.

These run Alabama’s own scholarship tax credit program. A gift to one of them does not earn the federal credit unless it is added to a state’s §25F list. Many are expected to apply, and a participating state must list every qualifying organization located in the state that asks.
